Important reminder about absences and illness
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of following the advice of 811 if your child tests positive with COVID-19 or is considered a close contact of someone positive with COVID-19. Please keep your children home if experiencing symptoms of illness. We thank you very much for your diligence with this. We remain diligent at school with our enhanced health and safety measures.
Due to the high rate of transmissibility and shorter incubation period of the Omicron variant, Public Health has changed is practice around contact tracing and case management. Schools are monitoring attendance carefully. Please click HERE to learn more about the difference between self-isolation and self-monitoring, for how long and when to do so. The K-12 Health Check Tool can help you determine whether or not to send your child to school and next steps to follow.
Please click HERE to re-read the message sent to parents on January 6th containing enhanced measures and family responsibilities. In it, parents were encouraged to update emergency contacts in case symptoms of illness develop at school and develop back up plans in case of a functional school closure.
