Family Dinner and Movie Night is happening on Wednesday, May 3^rd at 5:00 pm (doors open at 4:45 pm). We will be showing the movie Puss in Boots, The Last Wish. Please CLICK HERE for more information. Please RSVP on the form or by email at fal@sd83.bc.ca

Our school flag will be lowered on Thursday, April 27^th at the end of the day for National Day of Mourning on Friday, April 28^th.  This is to honor those who have suffered injury, illness or death due to working conditions in the work place. The flag will be raised Monday morning. 

School District No. 83 is gathering information about child care needs in Falkland.  Please CLICK HERE to complete this brief survey by May 31st so we have a better understanding of the child care needs of families in the community. 

Parents of students in grades 4 & 7, please check your emails regarding a reminder to complete the student learning survey from the Ministry of Education. This is due Saturday, April 29^th.

Our annual Talent Show will be happening on Thursday, June 8^th at 12:30pm in the gymnasium. Notices were sent home earlier this week. Please CLICK HERE to view the notice that was sent home. Parents please be sure to sign your child up by calling the office before Friday, May 12^th. This is to ensure that you are aware that they are working on developing an act and can support with practice time at home.  Some important dates to remember are, Auditions on Monday, May 15^th, Tuesday, May 16^th & Wednesday, May 17^th during lunch. Students are asked to sign up for auditions (2 minutes max) at the office.  Showcase Finalists will be announced Tuesday, May 23^rd. All videos and live performance must be no longer than 5 minutes.

We are looking for volunteers for some upcoming events, Family Dinner & Movie Night on Wednesday, May 3^rd and the Falkland School Community Breakfast on Friday, May 19^th. Please contact the office or Mrs. Cull if you are available to help PAC and the school with these events. 

We have started Homework Club during lunch time for students wanting extra time to work on their assignments. Homework Club is in the library on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and in Ms. Minchenko’s room on Friday.
