The following email was sent home to parents today, March 3, 2023.

Our whole school Tubing Day at Silver Star Mountain is on Monday, March 6^th. The bus will be leaving at 8:45am. Our tubing time is from 10:15am – 12:15pm. While the café will be open from 12 – 1pm, they will not be able to accommodate our whole school, so children are encouraged to bring their lunches with them. Please be sure your child has appropriate clothing including, water resistant gloves or mittens, warm winter jacket, snow pants, snow boots, toque, goggles or sunglasses, etc. Please advise the office if your child is going to be away on Monday. This is a school field trip. School District 83 policies and procedures will remain in effect.

Our PAC has organized an Easter Purdys Chocolate Fundraiser.  Please CLICK HERE to place your order online. The last day to order is Wednesday, March 22^nd. Orders will be delivered home with students on either Wednesday, April 5^th or Thursday, April 6^th.

Falkland School will be one of the schools showcased at the annual SD83 Art fair being held at Piccadilly Mall in Salmon Arm.  You can stop by to view student’s artwork starting today until Friday, March 10^th in the afternoon. Please CLICK HERE for more information

Information about the PACs upcoming Read-A-Thon, which will take place over spring break, will be shared soon.

SD83 has added an online Strategic Planning Session on Wednesday, March 15^th at 5:30pm. Please CLICK HERE for more information.

SD83 will be hosting a three-part series for parents that focuses on online gaming, social media safety for youth, and sexploitation. The sessions will be held online from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. on three consecutive Mondays, February 27, March 6 and March 13.  Please CLICK HERE for more information.
