Thank you volunteers!
A big thank you to the volunteers (students, parents, community members, and staff) who came to Falkland School this morning to help with the painting of our outdoor pathways. These pathways are geared to support our outdoor learning initiate and provide opportunities for self regulation. I think they’ll be a big hit at recess and lunch too. I am always amazed at how much our little school can accomplish by working together. I am excited to see our students’ reactions when they come back to school on Wednesday, September 6th. Laura Paiement, our Healthy Schools Coordinator, will be back to our school soon to show our students and staff ways to incorporate these pathways into the instructional day and beyond. Thank you very much Laura and volunteers for supporting this initiative, our students, our school, our families and our community. A big shout out to Troy Ricard and his team at our Falkland Fire Department for pressure washing the area prior to painting. We are grateful for your help.
