Students at Falkland School get involved with planning for Commmunity Park
Dear Falkland Elementary families,
We would like to inform you of a wonderful opportunity that is being provided for our students at Falkland School. Students are being given the chance to share their ideas for what they would like to see developed in the proposed community park space on Lynes Road. Teachers will be engaging students in discussions that take into consideration the diversity of the people living in our community as well as the natural surroundings of our beautiful town. We have been provided with maps and a list of questions by Jason Jones, the Architect of the project. He is very excited to hear and see the visions and ideas that our students have to offer. Here are some of the questions that he is asking in order to engage our students in this process:
1. What is something you would like to do in this park?
2. What is the most fun thing you have ever seen in another park?
3. What do you think you would like to do with your family when you all go to the park?
4. Your friend/cousin from far away is coming to visit and you plan to take them to this park. What would you like to be able to do together in the park when you visit?
5. What would you name the new park?
Students engaged in the process have been thrilled to provide their input to this project for our community.
