Cross Country Running tomorrow – May 5th at MVB

Our Falkland School Cross Country Team is excited to head to MV Beattie in Enderby by bus tomorrow, May 5th for our first race of the season. This race is for students in grades 1 – 7 and will start at 9:20 am. We will be leaving the school just after the bell.

At the morning bell, students have been asked to line up behind a cone designated for their grade. Students will be handed a Falkland Wolf Jersey before boarding to wear at the event. Please remember to pack some hearty snacks, lots of water, and a hat in the backpack. Students should be dressed for the weather and the activity, including appropriate shoes for running. We will be leaving MV Beattie at 11:25.

We will be eating lunch when we return to school but students are more than welcome to nibble at their lunch throughout the day. If students ordered hot lunch, it will be kept warm and ready for them when we return to school at about noon.

Our next race, Little Mountain Stomp, is scheduled on Thursday, May 11th in Salmon Arm and will include kindergarten to grade 8. We have a total of 62 members that make up our Cross Country Running Team K- 8. A big thank you to Coach Cull, Coach Gudmundson, and Coach Trisha for providing this opportunity for students at our school.
